UNTRUSTING OUT OF WORK FRENCH ACTOR<\/p>\n
This incredibly French looking guy complete with this scarf tucked into his
\nshirt, beret, tiny moustache and heavy accent looking very much like he had just walked out of an Agatha Christie movie approached the counter looking quite desperate and requested a bandaid to conceal a coldsore. I tried very politely to not make it obvious that his huge coldsore was in fact very obvious. I reached for a pack of the Compeed patches which are specifically designed to not only conceal but speed up the healing of coldsores and did my best hardsell, not because I wanted to make a sale but because I really believed it was what he needed, it definately needed covering up. “But what colour is it?”
\n“It’s clear.”
\n“No good it won’t hide it and I have this incredibly important
\nmeeting that I absolutely cannot have it showing in.”
\n“It will definately cover it up.”
\n“And how much?”
\n“$15.99”
\n“But what about these?” And he places a pack of the bandaid circular shaped
\nplasters about the size of a 10cent piece on the counter.”
\n“The Compeed is definately a much better choice.”
\n“Oooh I don’t know, can I really trust you?” I actually thought he must have been joking as I have never had my trustworthiness questioned and that perhaps he may have been trying to be a little flirty.
\n“You most absolutely can trust me!” I stated sure that he would, but then he pushed the ridiculously huge and completely unsuitable bandaids that were $3.99 forward and said; “I’ll take these.”
\nWell gosh my pride was shattered and I had to fight back the giggles, imagining what he would look like with that very indiscreet bandaid covering up half of his mouth and in fact not even sticking at all.
